GROUPS

GROUP – I Services: These are the prestigious and the topmost services at the state level. It includes esteemed positions like Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Commercial Tax Officers etc.

Since previous Group I exam there are no Optional Subjects in the syllabus. It is totally General Studies oriented. The selection process takes place in three steps.

1. Preliminary examination: This is purely objective oriented. No negative marking.

2. Main Examination: This is descriptive oriented. Here the candidates writing and analytical abilities will be tested.

3. Interview. Candidates’ personality will be assessed.

GROUP – I FORMAT:

1. Preliminary – 150 bits – objective type

2. Mains – 5 papers – Descriptive type. Each paper carries 150 marks.

3. Personal interview - 90 marks

1. Three papers – 150 bits each –Objective type papers -
